Amnesty: al-Qaeda runs Syria torture jails
Against the background of the ongoing civil war in Syria, torture and summary executions are rife in secret prisons run by the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant group. A new report by Amnesty International says the al-Qaeda affiliate has committed serious rights abuses, including some, like abductions and arbitrary detention, amounting to war crimes.
