It's been 15 years since 20-year-old Quentin Pope was shot and killed in Lake Placid, but the years have not dulled the pain for his mother, Shari Lewis. Ms. Lewis tells her story on this episode of Survivors' Stories. Others will share similar stories in future episodes as we try to cast light on the true cost of the violence that has plagued our neighborhoods in the past years. A murder does not just cost the victim his or her life, it leaves behind many victims on both sides of the crime. The family that has lost a loved one, and the family who has to deal with impact of their loved one committing a violent crime that took a life. We hope to bring you stories from both perspectives in the coming weeks. Please watch this video and share it so that we can spread their message.
