In the 2nd Sunday of Advent, we encounter John the Baptist, who announced the promise of the Messiah and called the people, and to each of us, to repentance. Prophets are living reminders of God's presence and the future that is in store for humanity. The call of the prophets is one of repentance from our sinful ways and to prepare our hearts to welcome Jesus this Advent season.
