Shooting outside West Charlotte High School

Police are currently in the area of West Charlotte High School after a reported incident near the campus Monday afternoon. An incident was reported near the corner of Southwest Boulevard and Senior Drive, which is where the school is located, just off Beatties Ford Road. A video posted on the Citizen app showed multiple Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department vehicles near visitor parking at West Charlotte High. Medic confirmed they are responding to an incident on Senior Drive but said any other questions would be answered by CMPD or Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools WCNC Charlotte has reached out to CMPD and CMS for more information about the incident.
