How to make water heater drain faster
The drain valve on a water heater is very small and can easily get clogged with calcium and other things in the water. Here are some tips I've found to be helpful: 1) turn off circuit breaker for water heater! 2). Open hot water faucet while draining 3) open popoff valve on water heater 4) if the water drain speed slows down or stops, curve a wire and shove up the drain valve and then twist the wire and pull back and forth. It may get clogged several times so be prepared to repeat this step several times.
