'The world stopped' when Queen's death was announced

The Daily Mirror’s Royal Editor Russell Myers says the Queen’s death is “very surreal” even though it has been something anticipated for some time. “I think the world stopped for a time yesterday when the news started to filter through certain channels and then Buckingham Palace released a statement yesterday about the gravity of the situation,” he told Sky News host Rowan Dean. “I think there was a collective intake of breath across the country, the Commonwealth, indeed the world.”
