#TemptationsToSin #SayingOfFaith #Scandals #ScandalsInTheChurch #PostureOfForgiveness #Forgiveness TOPIC: IS YOUR FAITH SHAKEN WHEN A SCANDAL IN THE CHURCH HAPPENS? First Reading: 1 Kings 17:10-16 Responsorial Psalm: Psalms 146:7, 8-9, 9-10 Second Reading: Hebrews 9:24-28 Alleluia: Mark 5:3 Gospel: Mark 12:38-44 Or Mark 12:41-44 In today’s gospel reading, Jesus talks about the inevitability of sin to take hold of man. That is why there are scandals all over. Scandals are words and/ or actions of people that turn off others and make it hard for people to believe and accept Jesus Christ and His good news. Jesus says that it would be better for those who have caused these scandals to be thrown into the sea with a big stone around their neck. He continues by saying that those who will be most affected are those “little ones,” those who are weak in their faith. This is the 580th installment of our CFC quarantine contemplation series focusing on the daily liturgical readings. [NOTE: All the regular reflections are between 3-7 minutes long, enough time for us to ponder what God's message is for us individually and to pray that we may live them out in our lives.
