Amid speculations, in an exclusive chat with IndiaToday.in, Ayan Mukerji reacted to rumours of who will be cast as Dev in the second part For context, ever since the announcement, there have been various reports floating about who could possibly play Dev in Brahmastra Part 2. While earlier Ranveer Singh’s name was the most popular one, Hrithik Roshan too was apparently considered for the role. When asked to react on the rumours in a media interaction, Hrithik did not deny being approached for the film. Recently, another report suggested that KGF actor Yash has also been approached to play the lead role. Reacting to it, Ayan told IndiaToday.in, “I love Yash. It would be great if he plays Dev. No, I am joking,” he continued, “There were rumours about Ranveer Singh, the biggest rumour and other rumors about other actors but I cannot say anything. The fun of Dev's story is that it will come at the right time.” When prodded further, he hinted, “What if somebody is already playing Dev or is in talks... then you are asking me a question that can set the whole thing off. I really cannot answer this right now. Just wait for it, there is fun in waiting too.” Ayan and the team are currently in the process of completing the script for Brahmastra 2. The film will now be available for streaming on Disney Plus Hotstar from November 4, 2022.
