Happy Together (the Turtles, 1967) ... played on the accordion!

RIP to Mark Volman, I guess. This particular song was nothing more than a faint whiff of boomer nostalgia to me -- possibly most personally meaningful to me as invoked in Charlie Kaufman's 2003 movie "Adaptation", where his screenwriter screen proxy mentions it as the kind of tune filmmakers drop into their movies as a free ride to achieve an interlude of unearned emotional resonance from the audience. (Spoiler warning, Spike Jonze does end the movie on just one such sequence.) I was much better acquainted with his work as Flo & Eddie with Frank Zappa, and the most personally resonant tribute by me would be covering Billy the Mountain, but ... that's not the kind of undertaking you drop 24 hours after getting the bad news. The intro to "Happy Together" actually was in my regular rotation at one point, as a fake-out introduction to Britney Spears' "Womanizer", which we in turn used to set up her "Toxic"... but this is actually the first time I've ever played this song all the way through. The song really doesn't fully become itself until you have a backup vocalist sharing some harmonies, but I approximated its bare-bones contours here.
