The Asbury Outpouring – My Personal Experience There & Addressing the Negativity from Christians

I will keep this simple. I prayed about and attended the Asbury Outpouring (they aren't calling it a revival, so I am not either for reasons I explain). I returned from it to find, sadly unsurprisingly, much negative sentiment toward it from believers (most of whom were obviously not there). I'm over it, my friends. I engaged in some conversations hoping to persuade some folks with my own personal experiences from there, but found the fruit of that effort to be quite frustrating. My hope here is to be as loving and full of grace as I know how toward those who would disagree with me. All I can do is tell you what I experienced, and how I see this lining up with Scripture. Beyond that, I release it all to God. For what I believe is the first time, I am disabling comments. I have ZERO desire for that place to become a breeding ground for more argumentation. ALL OF US who call ourselves Christians need to do better at being loving. All of us need to stop telling God how He can and cannot pour out His Spirit (like He needs our permission or approval). Be discerning, yes. But lead with love (and perhaps a spirit of humility that God may be doing something in a way different than you'd expect). And seek discernment from the only One who can truly bring it. Not from me, or anyone on social media. Seek it from Him. And maybe withhold judgment until that discernment is received – and even then, lead with love. If you are a believer in Jesus, this video is meant to encourage you! If you are not, it is offered in hopes that God will use it to bring you to a relationship with Jesus through belief in Him, and Him alone, as the source of salvation. The steps to becoming a follower of Christ are included in the video and below. Salvation is ONLY found in Jesus Christ (John 4:6). It is the gift of God (and must be received as such – you CANNOT be good enough to earn it) (Ephesians 2:8-9). Romans 3:23​​ and 6:23​​ tell us that ALL have sinned and that the wages of sin is death. Romans 10:9-10 tell us that if we believe in Jesus in our heart and confess Him as Lord with our mouth, then we ARE saved. Salvation is as simple as ABC: A – Admit you're a sinner in need of a savior (Rom. 3:23​​ and 6:23 ​​) B –Believe that Jesus was crucified to pay the penalty for you sins (past, present and future), that He was buried and God raised Him on the third day. (1 Corinthians 15:2-4, John 3:16 and John 14:6) C – Confess Him as Lord and Call on His name! (Romans 10:9-10) PLEASE DO THIS TODAY, My Dear Friends! Time is so very short!
