Hi everyone! My phone isn't charging. How do I know why? Is it the charger itself or maybe the USB cable? In this video, I'll show you how to find out in literally one minute! You can perform this test with a multimeter, but it's much more accurate, faster, and informative to use a USB tester! I'll be using the FNIRSI FNB58 USB tester. If you click on the link below, you can purchase this latest-generation USB tester with many additional useful features. FNB58: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_oB7... I'll also put together a very useful device that allows you to assess the condition of the charger and USB cable quite accurately. It works in conjunction with a USB tester. I'll solder this circuit using a volumetric (assembled) circuit. But today, I'll be using a homemade soldering iron—a soldering iron made from a resistor! In one of my previous videos, I showed how to make this soldering iron and what it's capable of. You'll find a link to that video below, so feel free to watch it. The device I'll be soldering today is called a resistive load. It allows you to measure the voltage at the charger's output that's insufficient. You'll also need to know the charging current, whether the USB cable is disconnected, and so on. All these indicators can be determined using a resistive load or a test load. This device requires at least four LEDs and eight resistors (four load resistors and four current-limiting resistors for the LEDs), as well as a few USB connectors. Once assembled, the resistive load doesn't need any further configuration and is ready to use. The maximum values this resistive load can deliver are: a current draw of 1.5 amps and a power output of 8 watts. All the details for assembling and testing this device are in this video. This video provides complete instructions.
