INDIAN PHIRNI Recipe | Refined Indian Rice Pudding Yeah, finally a sweet and delightful dessert from India - Phirni! Maybe you have heard about Kheer which is the regular rice pudding eaten in India. Phirni, on the other hand, is more refined because you grind its ingredients before cooking it in the milk. India is quite popular for desserts and snacks and this dessert is just mind blowing with a delicious taste of milk, sugar, rice, almonds and rose water. It tastes best when served chilled but can also be served hot. This sweet dish is popular in North Indian cuisine and even in Pakistani cuisine. The history and origin of the Phirni are still unknown, but it is believed to be originated during the Mughal Empire in India. Hope you enjoy it!
