The Mayflower,Cathedrals Express & Double Headed Hallage 23.03.2013

It was a chance to see 3 tours in a day even that it was a cold day.We travelled to Taunton. The 1st tour was The Mayflower from London Euston to Plymouth ,with 45407 arriving from Exeter.The Black 5 is seen moving out of station to wait outside for 34067 Tangmere to arrive.Then reversed to join the tour .Then departed for Plymouth. The 2nd tour was The Cathedrals Express from London Paddington to Kingswear with 60163 Tornado.Arriving 45 mins late is seen departing in a cacophony of sound. The 3rd tour was Double Headed Hallage from Birmingham Tyesley to Newport (South Wales) with 4965 Rood Ashton Hall & 4936 Kinlet Hall.We see them arriving from Pengam sidings for the return trip to Tyesley .They departed with great echoing sounds .It was cold but we enjoyed the day & it was worth while .Thanks for watching (C&A)
