Shot over a couple of days during the bank holiday weekend is this homage to probably the best character in the latest 'Kenobi' series, Ned-B! As a final virtual production test before my large TV is put into storage, this was originally intended to be much larger in scope with a Mandalorian-esque character arriving at a planet searching for the remains of Ned-B and to take the body back to his workshop, powerering him back up for a final reveal! Plus some Jedis for fun... :P Things slowly wittled down into a much more manageable project.... However this video is still a good test of using incamera effects such as lens flares, mobile phone scanner self-illumination, transparency through the goggles, and reflections in skin/objects, as well as adding in some motion capture to try and blend stuff together better. I was also quite happy with the binoculars and scanner props I created out of some spare tin cans and foamboard, they're only seen onscreen briefly but I liked how they turned out with the chipped paint effect. I also tested out using polarizing film sheets in front of the lights seen towards the end of this video to try and reduce the amount of reflection which some people had mentioned, however as well as removing the reflection in the TV it also removes the natural reflection of skin giving a very sickly dead feel to eyes and faces, but it's good to test these things to see how they look. The 3d set was made by myself using assets from the Unreal marketplace, online, and Quixel. Shot on a Canon R5 with an old soviet lens the Helios 44-2 58mm modded with a custom oval aperture, TV is a massive LG 86UP80006LA 86". Music is Titan Revenge by David Fesliyan.
