COMT Gene Mutations: Its Link to Hormone Imbalances and even Cancer

Welcome to Dr Hagmeyer's YouTube channel. The COMT gene plays a key role in breaking down and detoxifying estrogen and other hormones in the body. When there’s a COMT gene mutation or reduced enzyme activity, the body may have trouble clearing out certain forms of estrogen, especially the more potent or “toxic” estrogen metabolites.
