OCD therapy is often hard to access for many different reasons. There are not that many OCD therapists out there, so they can be difficult to find. Second, OCD therapy can be expensive and often OCD specialists don't take insurance. So there are financial barriers to OCD treatment. It's hard enough to have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, but to struggle without proper treatment is even harder. That is why I was so excited when NOCD rolled out their OCD teletherapy program. Now OCD sufferers can get better access to help through CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) and ERP (Exposure Response Prevention).
