Mike Brewer drives the Porsche 718 Cayman – Winner of Sports Car of the Year

Wheeler Dealers star Mike Brewer samples the latest Porsche 718 Cayman – winner of this year's Sports Car of the Year at the Car Dealer Magazine Used Car Awards. When the Cayman was first launched nearly 20 years ago – a generation later than the Boxster soft-top – not everyone was convinced. Some purists thought the 911 didn't really need a baby brother, and that selling a smaller hard-top Porsche at a lower price would mean compromising on pace, handling and build quality. As it turns out, that was far from the case: the Cayman quickly establishing itself as one of the best-handling sports cars on sale. Many would argue it's a much sweeter-handling car than the bigger, more touring-oriented 911. We sent Brewer off in the even more controversial four-cylinder 718 Cayman to give us his thoughts.
