Easy Rasmalai Recipe | Homemade Using Milk Powder | Zakee’s Kitchen Secrets

Here is my perfect rasmalai recipe and hope it works for you as it did for me! Make sure you tag me on insta @momentsbyzakee I would love to see your recreations.   / momentsbyzakee   Serves 6 (Makes about 20 rasmalai balls) Ingredients Step 1: 3 1/2-4 cups milk 4-5 tbsp sugar 1/4-1/2tsp cardamom powder (or 3-4 whole cardamoms) Boil the milk for about 15-20 minutes 1/2 cup milk powder 1/4 tsp baking powder 2 tsps plain flour 2tsps butter/oil 1 egg(only about half will be used) 1)Mix the milk powder, baking powder and plain flour all together. 2)Rub the oil into the dry ingredients. 3)You will only need about half an egg so add it gradually. 4)Make the balls and add one first to ensure the balls do not dissolve. 5)Add the rest of them in on medium to low heat. 6)Keep the pot uncovered and on medium heat until you notice the balls expanding. This will take probably 15-20 minutes. 7)Cover the pot and reduce the heat to low for about 15minutes. 8)Garnish with crushed pistachios/nuts. 9)Refridgerate preferably overnight. Serve cold. Enjoy! NB *Depending on the size of the egg you might need to use a little more than half of the egg if the mixture is dry. *Do not use a metal spoon when making rasmalai. Because they can break. *Be gentle when mixing the pot as the rasmalai is very delicate. *If it does dissolve it could be one of two reasons either too much egg or baking powder. *If milk is reduced too much you can add some fresh milk during the cooking process.
