Batman: Arkham Asylum 2009 is the first instalment of the Arkham series, In this game Joker hatches an intricate scheme to take control of Arkham Asylum, imprison Batman alongside his rogue’s gallery of villains, and threaten Gotham City with hidden explosives. The game combines action, stealth, and detective skills as Batman navigates the asylum, battles foes, and unravels the Joker’s plot. In this episode: The Joker is ready for his big event and Batman goes to stop him at the asylum. The Joker captures Gordon again and tries to shoot him with a dangerous dart, but Batman gets hit instead. Batman fights off the effects, while the Joker takes too much of the substance and turns into a giant monster. They fight on the roof in front of cameras, with Batman choosing not to use the substance on himself. Instead, he cures himself and beats the Joker and his crew. After the fight, everyone who was affected returns to normal, including the Joker, who gets arrested. Batman hears about another crime happening and heads back to Gotham City.
