Iowa Lottery: Blazing Hot 7s - 3D Animated Commercial

Just in time for a hot summer, Grasshorse cranked it up with bright, bold, sizzling imagery in this animated spot produced for the Iowa Lottery's new "Blazing Hot 7s Game Book." Grasshorse made summer come alive in this paper pop-up world of slot machines and casinos, red carpet gliteratti, a backyard grill and flamin' hot brands in an open fire. Receiving an Award of Excellence for Commercials Over $15,000 at 23rd Iowa Motion Picture Association Awards, Grasshorse Studios brought it all together for our client, Strategic America, by utilizing 3D animation, particle effects and depth of field effects with Autodesk Maya and Smoke software. This spot was Directed by Steve Jennings and Produced by Kathy Buxton. The team included three recent graduates and two instructors from Southeastern Community College's 3D character animation program.
