Welcome and today we have another beautiful recitation of Surah An-Naziat (Those who Drag Forth) Surah 79 with English Translation. Surah An-Nazi'at (Arabic: "Those Who Pull Out," in reference to "the angels who pull out the souls of the sinful") is a fictional character. is the Qur'an's seventy-ninth sura, having 46 ayat. It gets its name from the phrase wan-nazi'at, which it uses to open. The root (n-z-') approximately translates to "to yank out with great force," but it can also mean "to wish for" or "to wish for later." ▶️ Surah Naziat brief background: There are 46 verses in this Surah, separated into two Rukus (sections). It gets its name from the first verse: "" (By those who extract with violence), where the phrase "" appears, which means "The Snatchers/ The Extractors." This Surah was most likely revealed at Mecca during the early days of Muhammad's prophethood proclamation. Angels are the most common translation for Naziat, especially the angels who are in charge of extracting the souls of the dead. By swearing these angels or beings, it is indicating that, just as God has the power to take back your souls, He also has the power to raise individuals from the dead. As a result, the central topic is an affirmation of the Resurrection and the life to come. The Surah also tells a brief account of Moses, Pharaoh, and his people, as well as warnings on the dangers of arrogant pride, which leads to denial of the truth and, eventually, destruction. Ibn Masud, Ibn Abbas, Masruq, Said bin Jubayr, Abu Salih, Abu Ad-Duha and As-Suddi all said, وَٱلنَّـٰزِعَـٰتِ غَرۡقً۬ا "These are the angels that take the souls of Adam's offspring." Those whose souls are transferred by angels with difficulty, as if drowning throughout the process, are among them. Due to their quickness, the angels are able to remove the souls of those people with ease, as if they were unraveling him (i.e., his soul from him). This is what Allah's message means. Then God declares,فَٱلۡمُدَبِّرَٲتِ أَمۡرً۬ا Furthermore, by those who plan events. "They are the angels," Ali, Mujahid, Ata, Abu Salih, Al-Hasan, Qatadah, Ar-Rabi bin Anas, and As-Suddi all remarked.
