#todayweather #monsoon2023 #punjabweather #southPunjabweather #sindhweather #karachiweather In this video detail Outlook for April–May–June (AMJ), 2022 Synoptic situation: Currently, La-Niña condition is prevailing and is likely to continue with weak intensity during April–June 2022, which gradually decreases, while the IOD condition is expected to remain in neutral state during the start of the season but gradually shifting to negative phase towards the end of the forecast period. Based on the global and regional circulation patterns, the outlook for April–June 2022 in Pakistan is as under: Monthly Outlook: Overall, a tendency for below normal precipitation is predicted over most parts of the country during forecast season (AMJ) with significantly below in April and May while normal to slightly above normal during the month of June. Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, Punjab and major parts of Baluchistan are expected to receive normal to slightly below normal precipitation during the forecast season. Below normal precipitation is expected in Sindh and upper parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Impacts: • Day time temperature is likely to remain above normal all over the country. • Dry condition and high temperature during last fortnight of March and early April is expected to speed up the pollination process resulting in early offset of pollen season in major cities (e.g. Islamabad, Lahore). • The dry period may increase the water demand of the standing Rabi crops like wheat, sugarcane etc. which are in maturity stages in the plain areas of the country, however the dry condition may be beneficiary for harvesting process later in the season. • Due to below normal snowfall during winter months as well as below normal rainfall during the current season water stress is predicted in the major reservoirs for the forthcoming season.
