Parents plan Rocklin school sit out after officials approve LGBTQ+ inclusive curriculum

About 600 parents in Rocklin plan to keep their kids home from school on Friday. The district-wide sit out is in protest to the Rocklin Unified School District’s decision to approve a new inclusive curriculum at elementary schools. The board approved the change in a 3-2 vote Wednesday night. The new K-5 curriculum will introduce textbooks that identify historical figures who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender.
