Chapter 1 Part 2/6 Chapter 1: Still Life Max Caulfield, the heroine from the first Life Is Strange, lives a quieter life several years after the events of Arcadia Bay. She has left her old home behind and now works as a photographer at Caledon University in Vermont. There, she tries to gain some distance—from her memories, her powers, and the difficult decisions of her past. Max is part of a small, close-knit circle of friends: She is especially close to the warm and poetic student Safi Llewellyn-Fayyad, with whom she shares a deep friendship. The reserved astrophysicist Moses Murphy is also part of this circle, and together they often spend time on campus. But the apparent peace doesn't last long. One evening, Max receives a disturbing message from Safi that compels her to go out into the night.
