EMD Aggression: TKD WDP-4B led Suhaildev Express Sprints past Boraki at 130 km/hr.! Indian Railways
Ever since the news of Suhaildev Express getting the 130 km/hr upgradation has reached my ears. I have been always jubilant about this very news.. as electrification has taken the Indian Railways by storm so the days of diesel domination are slowly and steadily getting over. These mammoth beasts are equally deadly like the Electric locomotives but unfortunately the railways never utilized their full potential. Even in the NCR zone of the busy and congested Delhi-Kanpur line the diesel action are very less so a diesel speed treat is always a bliss to me. Add to that the diesel aggression at 130 km/hr is surely a pied pipers tune that can draw any railfans attention. So a speed enthusiasm like myself will never leave an opportunity when gets the chance to witness the EMD beast at 130 km/hr. I was able to capture the full aggression of the EMD led 02234 Suhaildev Express while I went to Wair station. Although I was happy capturing it's sight at 130 km/hr but my hunger for mps always made me come back for more. After few failed attempts, I was finally able to relish this golden moment once again but this time the EMD aggression was altogether at different level. So on a pleasant monsoon evening Me and Aditya Kaushal landed up near Ajaibpur station to catch the glimpse of the diesel sensation. After a speedy pass by of the 02560 Shivganga Express, our attention was now on the 02234 Suhaildev Express which had departed Ghaziabad station. After a patient wait of almost 10 minutes, in came the moment when the gate man closed the level crossing gates and the signal changed colors. In no time we were able to see a beam of yellow light slowly getting bigger after every passing second and there it was TKD WDP-4B#40069 led 02234 Suhaildev Express like a bullet fired from a revolver madly belted past us at over 130 km/hr speed. The EMD aggression was so deadly that it created a huge thrust and dust storm as it sprinted past us in no time. The 21 LHB coaches literally flew by in no time that it was hard to digest that what had literally passed at that moment. It was an amazing treat and fiesta for my eyes and such diesel aggression surely outmatches the electric aggression at times.
