Zam is an alien from an unknown world, and is one of Nitros Oxide's henchmen, along with Zem. He races for Team Oxide, which in turn is affiliated with Emperor Velo XXVII. Zam comes across as the "team pet" and the alien equivalent of Polar and Pura. Zam makes his first appearance in the console versions of Crash Nitro Kart, racing in Team Oxide.
