The Last Of Us Part 2 - Chapter 10,11 & last boss | 4K Walkthrough

Review - From the very beginning, this oozes high production values. It’s like watching a blockbuster movie but there is so much more to it. You don’t get this high quality often. That’s not to say the game is the best I’ve ever played. The combat is decent enough. I opted to use the motion aiming, which is usually a bonus if you are allowed to use it on other games but for some reason, it didn’t always work well for me so I would go back to manual aiming. I do find it fidgety sometimes selecting weapons on the fly. Especially if you have to stop and press Square to change your weapon in your weapon slot. This caused me to sometimes get confused during combat and press Square when I wasn’t in the weapon menu and ended standing up and meleeing something in front of me and revealing my location to the enemies. This could have easily been avoided by adding more weapon slots in the weapon selection wheel. The graphics are really incredible. The amount of detail in each landscape is admirable. I don’t know how they managed to make every room full of items, rubble, and mess and never seem to see the same asset twice. This would have taken so much work. The vistas are equally impressive and I would often stop for a moment to admire the graphics. You play as 2 characters in this game with equal time put in each so you need to level them up independently. They have a similar weapon set so there is not much difference between them. The weapons are basic and practical. Pistols, Shotguns, rifles, bows - and a flame thrower exclusive to the second character. For some reason, Ellie has 2 pistols, which I could never tell the difference between. The story is really good and the cut-scenes are great to watch. There are a lot of uncomfortable moments where you are controlling the character and are forced to do something awful, but if you don’t, you die. The characters you play as really make terrible choices and it doesn’t feel right being forced to be complicit. I took deaths trying not to be a twat, so was forced to go through with actions I didn’t want to do to progress the story. A couple of gripes with this game are the vast amount of collecting you need to do. You can’t just walk through an area. You have to walk up to every shelf and table in case there is something to collect. It gets tiresome when you spend half the game just walking into walls clicking X. A massive problem I had, was traversing down ladders. I just couldn’t work out how to grab a ladder to go down. The action button when you want to go up a wall is to press X. But if you do this by a ladder, you jump. In my case to my death, multiple times. So, I think (I still don’t know) you just have to walk into the ladder, but it’s hit or miss if your character grabs the ladder. Half the time, I would just drop off the ledge and die. It’s an incredibly bad bit of design. This game is very long for a title like this. While it is admirable from a developer's point of view, and they pack in a hell of a lot of memorable content, story, and set-pieces; it does drag on a bit too long. I mean 24 hours for a game like this is a really long game. It’s like 2 last of us games in one. Especially since it is split between 2 characters who need levelling up like an entire game each. Like the first game, I wasn’t too impressed with this at first, but it grew on me and by the end I loved it and will always have fond memories of my time with it.
