PRESENTATION: Radical Cystectomies and Bladder Preservation - by Robin Morash

Nurse Robin Morash and a presentation on radical cystectomies and bladder preservation at a recent patient education meeting in Ottawa. Among other things, Morash managed The Ottawa Hospital’s Wellness Beyond Cancer program, which extends care for patients after they have completed active treatment. Programs that support patients’ physical and emotional needs are increasingly important as treatments and longevity improve for many cancer patients. As an advanced practice nurse for uro-oncology, she worked in research and education, especially in the area of bladder cancer. She also worked as a support person for patients facing bladder removal because of cancer, and has developed a prostate cancer assessment centre.
