88 days Farm Work Australia - Should You Blueberry Pick?

With the new rules allowing backpackers to stay for 3 years in Australia by doing 6 months of rural farmwork, I thought I would share my farm work experience for those thinking about doing their rural work. Note: I only did 88 days of rural work for my second year, which I have now already completed. This is the day in the life of a blueberry picker in Coffs Harbor, NSW. Quick Info: Blue berry picking pays by piece rate ($7/2KG bucket), NOT by the hour I made ~$100/per day on average picking blueberries (~15 buckets per day) Accommodation is NOT included in this farm work, I lived at a hostel with my fellow workers. Honestly, it was awesome to live there with them, and made the whole experience much more memorable and enjoyable. I applied for and recieved my second year visa using my farms ABN number on my payslips and I recieved my visa without any issue. (I'm Canadian) Overall I would TOTALLY recommend blue berry picking as rural work as a means of doing your rural work. It's pretty easy, if not a little monotonous, and a fun, memorable, simple way to get the days done! GET IT! Music: Epidemic Sound Shot on a Sony a6000 with the 16-50mm kit lens Any Questions?
