Points to Remember from Today’s Sermon - 25/1/2026 Scripture Text: Exodus 3:14 “God said unto Moses, say unto Pharaoh I Am that I Am sent you. “ I Am speaks of who God is, not what He can do, but who He is. Here are some “ I Am” sayings of Jesus I am the bread of life I am the light of the world I am the door of the sheep I am the good shepherd I am the resurrection and the life I am the way the truth and the life I am the true vine 🔴God is love -1 John 4:4 The only way we can love is through God. By this shall men know that we are his disciples when we love one another. Are we loving like God? We may try our best though. 🔴God loves us because He is love, He can love the just and the unjust. 🔴We must understand the difference between who He is rather than what He does. Many mix up the character of God with the ability of God. His ability does for us, His character says who He is. 🔴We may see miracles and attain it to his power, but it is more than that, God is revealing Himself to us. This is who I am. He is the light, wisdom, knowledge, understanding. He is all of that. 🔴God created man in the garden of Eden in a state of being, but he resorted to a state of doing. He created man to be like He was Gen 1:26- 28 - God said in our image, our likeness. 🔴God didnt use anything in particular to create the animals, no imagery, no pattern. But he made man using a pattern, a blueprint of himself: Meaning in like manner, something similar. Before man sinned he took care of the animals, and the garden, he did it from a state of being with the ability that God gave him. 🔴When we contrast man with animals they operate on instincts, that’s what drive them and they can only do that and no more. Birds have the instinct to build their own nest. 🔴Man is created above instinct, to create, to imagine, to think about things and create. He is not operating on instinct but operating on being. But he resorted to doing.
