Bit out of left field but considering I have more or less done every game I can, I might as well go clean up my backlog of videos I never did during my original run but do them on PC. In my original BBS playthrough on the PS4, I only did the last three arena missions with Terra since I assumed Ven and Aqua would be the same but easier... I was very wrong... Villains' Vendetta and the arena in general is MUCH harder with Ven then it is with Terra, and not for any reason you would expect. The main reason this specific mission was so easy with Terra was because you could infinitely stunlock Iron Imprisoner with Sonic Blade. To my shock and horror, Ven couldn't actually do the Sonic Blade lock. For some reason or another, Iron Imprisoner 4's hitbox is higher off the ground then its other forms and it results in it being too high for Sonic Blade to work. You can use it fairly easy against 1 through 3 but against Imprisoner 4, Sonic Blade will pass right between it's legs. Terra is the tallest character with the largest hitbox so it's not a problem for him. With that in mind, I had to test out other command to find one that worked and Mine Square seemed to be the next best option. It does a lot of damage and they don't trigger a form which is great for Heal Strike. There is one major problem but I will talk about that for Imprisoner 4. 0:00 Iron Imprisoner I Not much strategy, just hit it with mines and physical attacks. Heal Strike is nice because its finishers break super armor and can stagger large enemies. Really nice for keeping them stunned while you plant mines. Once huge piece of advice though, never get caught by the cage. The cage is unaffected but Zero EXP and will take forever to break if you get stuck. 1:19 Cursed Coach Not much different then Imprisoner 1, just use mines and Heal Strike to take it down quickly. 2:10 Wheel Master First boss that is immune to Zero EXP. I have tried many options and nothing can damage the Wheel Master. You're only option is to revert to a PSP mindset and let Ignite burn him to death. 5:40 Iron Imprisoner II Again, not much different then Imprisoner 1. It has a couple different attacks but it's mostly the same. 7:12 Ice Colossus Another boss unaffected by scaling. Just Ignite and wait for him to go down. 10:03 Iron Imprisoner III The first actually difficult boss. You can't just run in and expect to get hits anymore, you have to try and lead him into the mines. You also need to be very careful with the spin attack because Once More is not very reliable in this game and so much as touching the control stick can cancel your safety frames. 12:23 Trinity Armor Finally a unique strategy. When I did this with Terra, I came in with 3 sets of Ice Cream but you can get away with only two when used properly. A little tip for Rhythm Mixer is that the first spot is random, you always have time for 3 beats per spot and it always moves clockwise. So you can just mash a random button for the first beat and then do the remaining 8 proper. Or you can try and do the finisher perfectly by pausing as it starts to see what the first input is. 14:45 Iron Imprisoner IV On the surface, you would think this is not much different. A couple new attacks that do little more then waste time but not much else? Wrong, there is one huge difference in this phase. Just like how he seems to be too high to hit with Sonic Blade, he is too high to be hit by mines. You can't just let him attack over the mines anymore like in the third fight. You have to actually have him either attack the mines or use the underground attack into them. This makes the fight very slow. You're best option is to just run up to him after every attack and try and lay mines under him and hope be dives through them. Then you can lay some more down to hit him on the way up. There is a reason this one fight is almost half the video.
