Tuesday Jam | "Black Magic Woman/Gypsy Queen" | Santana

1971's "Black Magic Woman/Gypsy" was an entry point for Carlos Santana. "Black Magic Woman", originally written by Peter Green in the late 60s, Santana's cover with "Gypsy Queen" was the sonic blockbuster that announced Santana. It would go on to become an iconic guitar onslaught pretty much owned by Santana. Gregg Rolle's exquisite Hammond organ and vocal work perfectly complement Santana's almost crying-like guitar acrobatics, all backed by a killer rhythm section that drives the tune into a wonderfully organized chaos. Gear used: Sire Larry Carlton L7, Nano Cortex (with the new firmware), all running into Logic Pro.
