New Vice President of India: NDA कैंडिडेट Jagdeep Dhankhar ने शनिवार को हुए उपराष्ट्रपति चुनाव में अपनी करीबी प्रतिद्वंदी और विपक्ष की संयुक्त उम्मीदवार मार्गरेट अल्वा को मात दे दी है। इस तरह धनखड़ देश के नए उपराष्ट्रपति बन गए हैं। अल्वा को महज 182 वोट मिले जबकि धनकड़ को 528 सांसदों ने वोट किया। इस चुनाव में धनखड़ की जीत तय मानी जा रही थी क्योंकि उन्हें एनडीए के दलों के अलावा विपक्ष की पार्टियों से भी समर्थन मिला था। ये एक संयोग ही है कि जगदीप धनखड़ के उपराष्ट्रपति बनने के बाद लोकसभा स्पीकर और राज्यसभा के सभापति दोनों ही एक राज्य से हैं। NDA candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar defeated his closest rival and joint opposition candidate Margaret Alva in the Vice Presidential election held on Saturday.
