Alzheimer’s breakthrough as new drug slows memory decline | 5 News

During its latest clinical trials, Lecanemab was shown to slow down progression of the disease among patients in its early stages. There were more than 17 hundred participants in the trial which lasted 18 months. It found that the drug slowed the progression of Alzheimer’s by 27 per cent compared with patients who took the placebo.
