This was before we had learned to interpret and see the world not as it was but through our concepts and ideas of what it was. My World = One's Own World. This is our first world. Before all of its later cladding and contortions, it is at first a place of sensing, beingness, the preconscious mind and unknown knowing. It is the place where we understand self in others and others in self through the skill of mergence. The External World = The physical world known through our sensory experiences as processed through our bodies/brains and experienced as sensations, thoughts, emotions, connections. This is a directly hands on world where sensing and beingness may be relatively strongly intact. The Interpretive World = the world of applied meaning to incoming experiences that progressively builds mental structures and frameworks that ultimately filter our direct sensed experiences of the physical world and develops conscious mind as the primary guide. Ego World = Ego contortion that further clads, alters and filters the logical meaning we get from experiences of the physical world and further buries our original capacity for sensing and beingness. This can be indoctrination, culture, economics, identifications, rewards, honed addictions and competition for social, economic, cultural 'currency'. Post Capitalism How is the metacrisis (including ecological collapse, climate change, species extinction, increasing pandemics, institutional racism, rising authoritarianism, spiking inequality and inhumane poverty) a logical outcome of our dominant economic, political and cultural system? What are the five philosophical tenets of neoliberalism? What is post capitalism? What subtle distinction does the space in 'post capitalism' convey relative to 'post-capitalism'? What are the seven principles of post capitalist realities (post anthropocentric, trans-rationalist, post transactional, anti-patriarchal, post hierarchical, anti-colonialist, anti-racist)? In WAYS OF ATTENDING Iain McGilchrist exactly describes, what was mentioned in this brilliant interview - the gaze we apply to the world. Quote: Attention is not just receptive, but actively creative of the world we inhabit. How we attend makes all the difference to the world we experience. And nowadays in the West we generally attend in a rather unusual way: governed by the narrowly focussed, target-driven left hemisphere of the brain. Forget everything you thought you knew about the difference between the hemispheres, because it will be largely wrong. It is not what each hemisphere does – they are both involved in everything – but how it does it, that matters. And the prime difference between the brain hemispheres is the manner in which they attend. For reasons of survival we need one hemisphere (in humans and many animals, the left) to pay narrow attention to detail, to grab hold of things we need, while the other, the right, keeps an eye out for everything else. The result is that one hemisphere is good at utilising the world, the other better at understanding it. In animal communication (the way our ancestors did it) this technique is used. I believe, this can also be used with everything else, in order to shift the way we are attending, from left hemisphere focus driven exploitation of the world to right hemisphere understanding and empathy: CONNECTION MEDITATION For those of you wanting to learn the technique for connecting telepathically with the animals, below is a suggested guide to start you off. You can follow these steps whether you are in the presence of the animal or not. Suggested Technique: 1. Relax body 2. Mindful breathing, natural rhythm 3. Activate grounding cord 4. Set an intention for yourself 5. Open heart center 6. Expand heart field or imagine a connecting channel 7. Extend silent energetic greeting Remember to be open to whatever comes. You may receive information in mental images, silent words that appear in your awareness, emotional feelings or physical sensations. Simply be open and patient, allowing sufficient time between your questions to perceive any subtle answers your intuition may be receiving.
