‘Douze points’ – Catherine Tate to deliver UK’s jury scores in Eurovision final

Catherine Tate has been named the spokesperson for the UK's national jury in the Eurovision Song Contest. Tate will announce the results, including the coveted "douze points", live from Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena during the grand final on Saturday. This is the first time that the UK spokesperson has been in the same location as the contest. After the public has cast their votes, a spokesperson from each participating country presents the points of their jury, which range from the maximum "douze points" to zero. Tate follows in the footsteps of previous spokespeople, including Amanda Holden, Mel Giedroyc, and Richard Osman. She joked that this is just "a foot in the door", as she hopes to be the UK entrant next year.
