NATO plans troop withdrawl from Afghanistan

NATO Secretary-General Anders Fogh Rasmussen wants to see all combat troops withdrawn from Afghanistan by the end of 2014. Training personnel and military consultants would stay on, preferably with a new UN mandate, Rasmussen said, but if necessary with just an invitation from the Afghan government. Rasmussen said he was worried about insider attacks by Afghan soliders and police. Fifty NATO soldiers have been killed this year alone by Afghan security forces.
