New Features in Volvo's 2.9 Software Update - Volvo Cars White Plains

An new over-the-air (OTA) update has brought some big Apple CarPlay improvements to newer Android-Automotive powered Volvos (B5 and B6 powertrains). Volvo Update 2.9 & 2.10 will be pushed to certain new Volvo vehicles this summer. What's new? This update introduces a few new features for Apple CarPlay users, allowing Apple Maps to be fully displayed in the driver's instrument cluster, allowing new controls for play/pause functionality, and more. The infotainment system also has seen stability improvements and the vehicle's drivetrains have been optimized. Additionally, there is a new toggle function between Pilot Assist and regular Adaptive Cruise control, and the fold mirrors when lock functionally is now more widespread through the Volvo lineup.
