Rats are also a central gameplay element, as they attack the player if they approach them too carelessly. We take on the role of 14-year-old Amicia, who, along with her brother Hugo, must sneak through the world, as she possesses neither strength nor heavy armor. We are armed only with a slingshot, which we use to extinguish light sources, thus exposing guards to the rats that only attack in the dark.
