Captain America and the Avengers, which could have been named "Captain America and Hawkeye" and been accurate enough, is an underrated title from the late NES years. Considering the horse crap many companies put on the NES at the end of it's run, like the NES version of Aladdin, it's nice to see some companies actually try. The game does well to push you to use both characters. There are bosses and situations where it's better to have Captain America, and bosses and situations where it's better to have Hawkeye, you can't just rely on one or the other. Weaknesses include, the constant same few things said, after the level in the victory screen, this game has a lot of levels so that's very annoying. I also think the game is a bit long, and they could have cut some levels and been all the better for it. Some bosses repeat, and level themes tweaked slightly, to make the game longer, but overall, this is a quality NES title that feels like it's been influences by the capcom style of NES game.
