In "Mortal Kombat II," fan favorites return – even more powerful, even more determined, and this time reinforced by none other than Johnny Cage himself. A merciless, bloody battle awaits the heroes, one that eclipses everything they've seen before. The goal: to end Shao Khan's reign of terror. But the stakes couldn't be higher, as the survival of Earthrealm—and the fate of its last defenders—is at stake. Alongside Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, the cast includes Adeline Rudolph, Jessica McNamee, Josh Lawson, Ludi Lin, Mehcad Brooks, Tati Gabrielle, Lewis Tan, Damon Herriman, Chin Han, Tadanobu Asano as Lord Raiden, Joe Taslim as Bi-Han, and Hiroyuki Sanada as Hanzo Hasashi and Scorpion. Director Simon McQuoid returned to the director's chair for the sequel to his explosive 2021 cinematic adventure. The screenplay is by Jeremy Slater and is based on the video game by Ed Boon and John Tobias. "Mortal Kombat II" was produced by Todd Garner, James Wan, Toby Emmerich, E. Bennett Walsh, and McQuoid. Executive producers were Michael Clear, Judson Scott, Slater, and Lawrence Kasanoff. The film crew, led by McQuoid, included cinematographer Stephen F. Windon, production designer Yohei Taneda, editor Stuart Levy, and costume designer Cappi Ireland. Rich Delia was responsible for casting. The music was composed by Benjamin Wallfisch. New Line Cinema presents an Atomic Monster, Broken Road, and Fireside Films production: "Mortal Kombat II." Warner Bros. Pictures will handle worldwide distribution.
