I compared the dimensions to my Ingrid top to figure how big the cat on should be for the back. I cast on 64 stitches on the back panel and once I knit about 3.5 inches in broken rib I did 5 increase rounds every other RS round and then 6 increase rounds Every RS round. I had 86 stitches on the back panel for a total circumference of 172 stitches. For the straps I picked up 11 stitches, knit ~3 inches (23 rows and then knit 4 increase row (increasing on the neckline only). I repeated this on the same side and cast on 33 stitches with the backwards loop method to join the front. At this point I had 59 stitches on my needles and increased at the same rate as the back to get 86 stitches (not sure how I figured the math to make up for the 3 additional stitches). I then knit broken rib in the round to approx. desired length. I put front stitches on hold to create a split hem and knit approx. 20 rows for the back, cast off in pattern in then did the same on the front. The armholes and neck hole have an applied i-cord edge. Note: Broken rib should be worked on an odd number when worked flat and on an even number when worked in the round. When working in broken rib I made sure to have on selvedge stitch on the ends to create a nice finish. 📏measurements for reference📏 Weight - 140 lb Height 5’4’’ Bust- 37 - 94 cm Waist - 31 - 78 cm Hips - 39 - 99 cm
