What Harken Wants - Anthem - Ep. 25 - Quick Little Gathering Trip & Harken Is A Magician?!

Welcome to Mythkiller Productions! As always I will be your host, SiriMythkiller, as I continued on in the Anthem Cataclysm story. Today, I gathered the materials necessary for Dr. Harken to make the Egress, a sigil that should get me into the Cataclysm storm Vara Brom has created. First up were crystals harvested from a Bristleback. This new creature was basically an Ursix but stronger and more resistant to damage. In fact, it only had one spot where it will take kinetic (bullet) damage; its stomach. However, it seemed to take much more elemental damage as compensation. A few combos and well placed bullets and we were on to the next item. In the Mandible ruin, we picked up two things: a relic and an Escari Luminary leg. The relic was tricky because it kept pulsing some kind of energy field which caused us to drop the pieces we were carrying. Timing was a critical element. The Luminary was a pushover with a full squad. The final piece, a Dominion Transtator, was a bit more tricky. Based on Harken’s research, the Spear Battalion was in the process of making a large form of the Egress. They tried to defend it from us but we smashed through them and their Fury in no time. We dismantled the machine and grabbed the transtator. Back at the fort, a cutscene filled me in on what exactly Vara Brom had done to enter the Cataclysm. I assume her spear is special (since she and her acolytes were sucked into a relic receiver while the spear stayed behind, embedded in a crystal) but as of this posting I haven’t found out how or why. Anyway, Haluk and I were checking on the storm when Commander Vule arrived to tell us Dr. Harken had escaped! I expected something like this would happen. What I DID NOT expect was that he would come back, appearing from thin air, AND he already had the Egress completed. That man DEFINITELY has a device or an ability or SOMETHING because he proceeded to escape handcuffs, pull multiple fruits out of his pockets, AND lecture me at the same time. Intrigued, I stayed behind and talked to him after everyone else left. I really didn’t find anything out about him (although I DID find out that the Monitor and the Spear were siblings!) but he posed a lot of very interesting questions, some of which I have already been thinking about. But, with the Egress completed, I didn’t have time to stand around. Time to go take on Vara Brom in the Echoes of Reality Cataclysm!
