Son of blind Grenfell Tower man: He almost lost hope
A picture of a blind man on the 11th floor of the burning Grenfell Tower became one of the tragedy's most enduring images, especially because he managed to make it out alive. His name is Elpie Bonifacio, and today his son spoke of his relief when he saw him in hospital. Almost a week on since the fire, there is frustration amongst others that some residents are still waiting for help. New footage has also emerged capturing firefighters' horror as they first approached the blaze.
