Depending on the species, our lifespan ranges from 20-100 years. We may be cute, pretty and fun to watch but owning one requires a lot of effort, time and patience. A lot of us end up in shelters or lead a poor life due to impulse purchase and poor understanding of our needs. So if you're thinking of owning one, please please please do a lot of research before taking the plunge. It's also good to talk to someone who owns one and if possible, maybe even visit them at their home to see if that lifestyle is fit for you. Be responsible and be mindful so we can all co-exist together happily.
