This is the music written for the 1911 premier of the ballet Petrouchka. This LP was first recorded in 1959. The version presented here is a reissue from 1981. This is the cleanest record I have transferred so far - with nary a tick throughout the entire LP. It's a wonderful recording made back when Everest was one of the top classical labels attracting top talent. FWIW- the LP also has one of the most colorful covers of all time.
