After the ‘Stranger Things’ season five finale, creators Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer shared their thoughts on the fate of Millie Bobby Brown's character Eleven. Ross Duffer revealed in an interview shared by Netflix Dec. 31, that Eleven had two roads she could take: a darker, more pessimistic one or a more optimistic, hopeful one. “For our characters to move on and for the story of Hawkins and the Upside Down to come to a close, Eleven had to go away,” he said.
