Solanas beach is a large expanse of medium-coarse golden sand about 1km long, characterized on the east side by lush Mediterranean vegetation and enclosed between two enchanting promontories at both ends. The shoreline is bathed in clear water and which encompasses all shades of green and blue. In the central part immediately after the shore the water immediately becomes 1 meter deep and only afterwards it slowly descends so be careful, if you have children it is better to go to the two ends near the cliffs where the seabed is lower, gradual and safe. To the east, at the base of Capo Boi, there is the wildest and most enchanting part of the beach which takes the name of Cratzeranu beach; this stretch is characterized by a small dune covered with thick junipers which leads to a picturesque granite cliff that can be easily explored. The west side of the beach is the most crowded and also the most built in the bay; characterized by an easily explorable granite cliff, it hides some small coves. A few meters from the beach there is a large boulder where the kids climb and, diligently, get in line to dive one by one from the highest side, under the watchful eyes of the parents on the shore. In the village of Solanas there are refreshment points that guarantee a comfortable and safe stay, while pedal boats, deck chairs and umbrellas are available on the beach for a relaxing day of beauty. What to see nearby: A few minutes drive from Solanas, to the west, we have the two beaches of Torre delle Stelle, Cann'e Sisa and Genn'e Mari, especially the latter, don't miss it, shallow water, crystal clear waters and bars at a surprisingly fair price! Thanks to its strategic position, Solanas allows you to quickly reach the very famous resorts of Costa Rei in Castiadas and Villasimius, characterized by a fine and golden sand, which slopes down to a clear blue sea. How to get and where to park in Solanas: Getting to Solanas is quite simple; starting from Cagliari there are its possible options: take the new SS125, then take the exit for the town of Solanas, or proceeding along the panoramic road (SP17) in the direction of Villasimius and following the road signs located along the route up to km 25.8 where you will meet the crossroads that leads to the town. After passing the village, after a few hundred meters, you will reach a large free car park that will take you to the Solanas beach. Arriving early in July and August is a must, already at 9 the parking spaces are finished and the only places left are those inside the village.
