Alachua shooting suspect arrested

Late May 29, a suspect vehicle involved in a shooting in Alachua County hit on a License Plate Reader in Daytona Beach. The Volusia County Crime Center (VC3) sent out an alert, and units spotted the vehicle. The suspect, Macajaih Valenzuela, was taken into custody on his charges out of Alachua County: Attempted second-degree murder, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts of shooting into a dwelling. He's being held in the Volusia County Branch Jail on $1.1 million bond.
