At least 55 killed in Dem. Rep. Congo flooding

콩고 홍수로 최소 55명 사망 At least 55 people have been killed in the Democratic Republic of Congo's capital, Kinshasa. This, following heavy rains on Tuesday that triggered floods and landslides. According to authorities the deaths mainly occurred on hillsides and when homes were swept away. The death toll is expected to climb. Entire neighborhoods have been flooded and roads damaged by sinkholes. Kinshasa once a cluster of small fishing villages is now home to some 15-million-people It's vulnerable to flooding due to badly regulated urban planning and an increase in torrential downpours due to climate change.
